Thailand – Flood

Today we learn about two word that always in our mind.

Thailand, in Mandarin, we call this "Tai4 Guo2".

Guo2 means country or "Guo2 Jia1"

Tai4 – Tai4 Pin2 – means peace

Thailand in Mandarin means a country of peace.

 

Flood – lots of water, right?

water – Shui3

disaster in Mandarin, Zai1 Nan4

so, flood in Mandarin is "Shui3 Zai"

 

Tai4 Guo2 Fa1 Shen1 Shui3 Zai1. – Thailand happen flood. (direct translation)
